2016 - Daily Painting Day 19

Day 2 of the workshop with John Preston went by in a flash.  I was glad I had purchased some paper on our travel over that I could  use.  Definitely reduced the frustration level!  The wind up on the bluff made me grateful that I brought a jacket.  A great pastel demo and view to enjoy while watching it.

After having dinner last night overlooking the Mississippi, I realized a person could spend a lifetime painting the same view of it.  While I sat there and watched the dramatic changes in light and color of the river, I don't think you could ever run out of subject matter.

So it was fun to again paint the river today, although I got very distracted by the tree reflections and road, so they are the feature.
