2017 Daily Painting Day 22

Last day of our three day workshop.  I was very sad to see it come to an end.  I was learning so much!
Now I need to keep practicing to see if I can apply it, always a challenge.  Today was about the different kinds of light and it's impact on color in objects.  The objects he asked us to focus on was trees.  Carlson said in his book that if you are going to paint trees, you really have to know trees.   So today I realized I don't know them very well, for wanting to be a Plein Air landscape painter!  I am going to try to do 30 tree studies and 30 cloud studies in the next 60 days.  Mainly as a disciplined exercise to get better acquainted with both subjects.
